Candle Safety

We want you to experience our candles in a safe environment. Please follow and keep the following rules in mind for candle care and safety from your first use to last.

  • Always keep a burning candle within sight, and never leave it unattended. Extinguish burning candles before leaving a room or in any event where you won't be able to see them.
  • Keep burning candles out of reach of pets and children.
  • Never place a burning candle on or near anything that can catch fire. Keep burning candles away from furniture, drapes, bedding, carpets, books, paper, plastic, flammable decorations, etc.
  • Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  • Trim wicks to ¼ inch each time before lighting. This helps the candle burn at an even pace and prevents the flame from getting too big.
  • Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, soot, and debris.
  • Always burn candles in a well-ventilated room.
  • Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents, ceiling fans and air currents.
  • Don’t burn a candle all the way down. For a margin of safety, discontinue burning a candle when ½ inch of wax remains in a container.
  • Never touch or move a burning candle.
  • Extinguish a candle if it repeatedly smokes, flickers, or the flame becomes too high.
  • If burning more than one candle at a time, place each at least 3 inches away from one another.
  • Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings.
  • A burning candle should never be used as a nightlight.
  • Extinguish a candle if the flame gets too close to the candle holder or container.
